Admission through CAP
Merit admissions for UG & PG programmes are managed through Centralized Allotment Process (CAP) of Mahatma Gandhi University. For online application, the candidate must visit the website www.cap.mgu.ac.in and click on the link UG/PG CAP. Follow the online instructions and fill the details. Pay the application fee by Online Payment Gateway. After remitting the fee, the candidate can fill the application form with personal details, academic eligibility and options.

Admission Rules
Merit Admission will be conducted as per the norms and procedures of Mahatma Gandhi University Centralized Allotment Process (CAP). Management Quota admission application should be made in the prescribed form which can be had from the college office or the candidate can apply through online mode by using our website. Qualifying certificates and other documents should be submitted by the students as per admission intimation. The applicant should report with the Parent/Guardian for the admission interview and should produce the following documents.
- SSLC
- Plus Two Certificate (or Qualifying mark lists/certificates for PG admission)
- Transfer Certificate
- Conduct Certificate
- Migration Certificate (if any)
- Caste Certificate (for the candidates seeking under reservation category)
- Income Certificate/Non Creamy Layer Certificate (for the candidates seeking reservation)

Allotment Memo (if the candidates allotted through CAP)
- Passport size photos
- Eligibility Certificate (for Open School Candidates/Candidates from out of State & Nation)

BA English Language & Literature
Total marks secured in the qualifying examination less handicap marks plus twice the marks secured in Part I English of the plus two equivalent examination plus weightage of 50 marks to those who have taken English as one of the optional for the qualifying exam plus bonus marks if any.
Bachelor of Computer Applications (BCA)
Total marks obtained in Part III less handicap marks plus marks obtained for Mathematics/Computer Science (best of two) plus bonus marks if any
B Com with Computer Applications
Marks obtained in Part III optional at plus two examinations less handicap marks plus a weightage of 50 marks in each of the three subjects of commerce combination subject to a maximum of 150 marks plus bonus if any.

College Library
The library of the college offers plenty of syllabus oriented text books published by eminent authors, general books, newspapers, periodicals and journals. A digital library is functioning in associations with general library which give e – learning facilities for the students. Following are the library rules
- The library will be open from 9.00 am to 4.30 pm on all working days and Saturdays from 10.00 am to 04.00 pm.
- College Identity Card is compulsory for every visit to library. The students should produce their identity cards to the library staff on demand.
- Books will be issued for a period of 14 days. It can be renewed for a further period of 14 days. After the period, a fine of Rs. 1/- day per book will be charged.
- Two books at a time are issued for UG students. Three Books at a time are issued for PG students.
- Books damaged or lost must be replaced or two times of the book value should be paid by the borrower.
- Books will be issued from 10.30 am to 04.00 pm.
- PG Students are permitted to use the Library from 04.30 pm to 09.30 pm under the supervision of faculty members.
- Books taken out of library should be submitted by the borrower at any time as per the recall.
- Members should strictly obey the rules and regulations of the Library duly issued by Librarian and Library Advisory Board (LAB)
- Violation of Library rules and regulations including misbehaviour towards library staff will leads to disciplinary action.
CBCSS (Choice Based Credit and Semester System)
The University Grants Commission (UGC) directed all the Universities in the country to restructure courses on Choice Based Credit and Semester System pattern in 2009-2010 academic years. Mahatma Gandhi University regulations are framed in accordance with UGC guidelines on restructuring education. Accordingly, all affiliated colleges have restructured the regular courses on the CBCSS, a combination of internal and external evaluation with grading. The three year undergraduate programme will be divided into 6 semesters, each semester consisting of a minimum of 90 working days, distributed over 18 five – day academic year.The structure of the semester system will be as follows:
- Common Courses: which will include compulsory courses in English and additional languages.
- Core Courses: which include methodology course and courses on the subject of specialization.
- Complementary Courses: which include the courses which is complement to the study of subject specialization.
- Open Courses: which include all courses other than courses in the area of specialization of the student concerned.
There will be the internationally followed curricula and mode of evaluation under CBCSSS. There shall be two parts of evaluation. They are
- Internal Evaluation (Continuous Evaluation on the basis of attendance, seminars, assignment etc.)
- External Evaluation (End Semester Evaluation)
Internal and external evaluations are done using Direct Grading System based on a 5 point scale as given below.

Internal Evaluation
The internal to external assessment ratio shall be 1:4. There shall be maximum of 80 marks for external evaluation and maximum of 20 marks for internal evaluation.
General Rules of the College
- Students are expected to use only courteous and polite language and behave with decorum with the faculty members and staffs of the college.
- Students shall avoid using any insulting, inciting, threatening language when talking with fellow students and should abstain themselves from violence.
- Students shall not talk or act in any manner outside the institution in a way that would bring disrepute to the college.
- The students shall be regular and punctual in attending classes and all activities connected with the college.
- Gathering in groups at roads, entrance, exit and pathways is strictly prohibited.
- No students are permitted to leave the classroom during class hour.
- Students are expected to read notices and circulars displayed on the notice board. Ignorance of not reading any notice/circulars thus displayed shall not be accepted as an excuse failing to comply with the directions contained in it.
- Students are prohibited from damaging the building or any other property of the college in any way. The cost of any damage so caused will be recovered from the students collectively if the responsibility for it cannot be fixed on any individual or group of individuals.
- Representation of complaints and grievances may be made individually to the Principal through the HOD of the concerned.
- Students shall come clean, tidy and modesty dressed in college uniform. Students not in college uniform would be marked as absent for that particular day and they will not be permitted to enter in the campus premises.
- Use of mobile phone within the college campus is strictly prohibited. Violation of this rule by any student would result in impounding of the cell phone and strict disciplinary action against the student.
- Students must be punctual to each lecture hour. Students coming late to the class will not be given attendance for that period.
- Students are not permitted to absent themselves without prior permission. An application for leave must be submitted in the prescribed form well in in advance before the leave is required.
- Students without Identity Card will not be permitted to enter within the campus.
- Misconduct during examination, production of false information or documents for admission purpose and the failer to return loaned materials or settling debts with the college would be seriously dealt with.
- Application for certificates should be made at least two days in advance.
- No student of a college shall get himself involved in any political activity by himself or abet the said activity to be carried on by fellow students inside the campus in any manner what so ever and such activity is hereby banned inside the campus.
- Taking part in any political activity by organizing students or to cause gathering inside the college campus will be treated as serious indiscipline, and every member of such gathering shall be individually liable and responsible for the gross indiscipline.
